If
you've read all the books Skull & Bones Publishing has to offer,
and feel an overwhelming desire to spread the word as "Gospel" (this
is common), here are the Top 10 suggestions to help (you help) us
sell more books.
1. Buy more books. Lots of them. Build a display
stand out of cardboard and go to a local chain bookstore. Set up the
display right inside the door and stock it with at least 20 books.
Do all this without drawing attention to yourself. Leave quickly.
2.Write a brief (glowing) review at LuLu.com that includes phrases like "transcendent genius" and "rousing mindf--k."
3. Make sure youkeep at least two copies of each book. Put one of each on your bookshelf
at home (or in a Lucite display case, with dramatic under-lighting),
and give the others to your spouse or significant other (or your mother,
perhaps, if you're single). Ask he or she to pass them along to someone
else when they're finished.
- Send an e-mail to everyone in your address book with the subject line:
SKULL BONES BOOKS MAKE BIG MAN PENIS GROW 12 INCHES!!! This should
catch people's attention.
- Write a form letter and put it in every mailbox on your street. Plug
the books and also remind them that you're a bi-sexual sex offender.
- Use your bullhorn (if you don't have one, shame on you) to talk up
the books on a local street corner in your town or city. Or, do it
Blues Brothers-style from your vehicle, if you prefer. Might as well
work in some references to Jesus and the Devil, while you're at it.
- Skywriting!
- Graffiti!
- Telepathy!
- Work the topic into everyday conversation, as follows:
CO-WORKER: Hey [person's name], what are you doing for lunch today?
YOU: Speaking of lunch, I just read this incredible book in which one of the
characters eats lunch. You should check it out at SkullandBonesPublishing.com!
5.Give additional books as gifts for holidays and birthdays. Especially
to any friends/relatives who are book critics for major newspapers.
6.Get a bunch of little parachutes. Rent a helicopter. Fly around your
city/town and drop books to the masses.
7. If you have a blog
or syndicated TV/radio show, write/talk about the book profusely.
8.
If you're in a book club, or know anyone in a book club, suggest they
read the book.
